Recently, the folks at Sweater Bear Games (a local game developer!) were kind enough to pop in and let us test a prototype of their upcoming board game: Bear Mountain Camping Adventure.

They were kind enough to leave it with us and I’m loving what I’ve played so far. A very nice medium-heavy (I’m always bad on gauging these metrics so make of that what you may) resource management game about the fun of camping and surviving in the wilderness. The artwork is lovely and the game so far has been pretty balanced and fun. It’s all the fun of camping with none of the bugs :3

On top of supporting a local creator, I think this is going to be a lot of people’s next step up in diving into more complex games as well as a clear winner for those wanting a heavier version of games like Parks and Trekking.
